| The information that you wish to have coded into your Private id is entered during check out. You may enter any information into the form you wish and it will be converted into the tiny barcode you see below on the right side of the tag. There is one fee per unique bar code. For Example: If you are recording the same type of fish but turning it into the water at a different location, then you need to order 2 unique Private Id tags, but have multiple quantities printed out by us. etc. Your company name will be automatically printed with your phone number on the tag so that when the fish is found, the tag can be returned to you. That address is printed on the opposite side of the tag from the bar code. The box to the left of your address will house the unique id number for that fish and will be consecutive numbers and no two will be alike. Those numbers will not be coded information. The purpose of the data matrix code is it be able to fit your information in one tiny spot on the tag and be able to read it remotely when the fish is found without having to look up a file number on a computer to cross reference the data. We sell 2-d Scanners separately or if you have a newer cell phone, youcan use the code reader function on the phone. Our 2-d scanners can be purchased so that they plug into a laptop or note book style computer. That way you can save the information and put the fish back in the water without removing the tag. You can also down load Data Matrix readers to the newer cell phones and the information can be saved to your phone as well. The best part is everything about our stickers are water proof from the sticker itself, the imprinting ink and the glue that holds the sides together. They are heat resistant and lead free as well as non-tear able. Your PRIVATE I.D.TM Tag will look like this: 
The sticker is 2 inches long and 1/2 inch high you will fold it in half down the center line to make a 1 inch by 1/2 inch very soft flexible yet non-detructible tag. The tag is stapled with rust and corrosive proof staples to the underside of the bony cartilage on the fish's left gill (if you are right handed or on the right gill if you are left handed). Staple the top of the tag that is away from the bar code so it can be easily scanned in at a later date while still attached to the fish. (see photo) All you need is a stapler and back into the water she goes. It is quick and will not catch on weeds and sticks in the water ways as other tagging systems can do. There is no piercing of the flesh as with other markers that invites bacteria and paves the way to infections.
